TRAVEL ME BEAUTIFUL: SkinneyMedSpa is the new pretty kid on the beauty block at its new residence on 30 East 60th street within walking distance to some of the New York’s most prime hotels. After my maiden visit to them I’d say it’s a big time YES for classy lady traveler’s to New York City’s midtown Manhattan area. This coming from a former broadcast news presenter, journalist and daughter of a beautician who has lived in New York since 2001. Enter my Lara Croft meets Wonder Woman face in Raiders of the Lost Facial scene. Time to hit me up with the SkinneyMed Spa’s signature hydra facial which was suggested to me - my first facial in over 2 years. Check out the photo before facial photos I’ve posted. I gotta tell you I’m a woman who likes a beauty shop / regimen that is very natural (I usually go for plant based facials) and environmentally friendly beauty treatments with not too much fake stuff. And I pretty much got it during my Skinney Med Spa hydra facial. The beauty I sense about this spa is that you can run both ends of the beauty spectrum - natural’ish beauty routines and pumped up treatments. Great client versatility and range I’d say offering the whole beauty gamut. The staff are warm, welcoming, very friendly, highly professional and knowledgeable about their products and trade. The premises and treatment rooms are elegant, clean and tres chic. My hydra facial treatment by the lovely beautician Amyah was a 60 minute session using white willow products and an hydraulic acid peel / serum which was extremely effective. The French product line, Biologique Recherche, is used by this spa and agreed with my very sensitive skin beautifully. My skin felt so light and clean for days after this hydra facial. I was glowing - a veritable answer to an SOS skincare treatment I badly needed after some dire skin distress from travel and more … My entire experience at the Skinney Med Spa was pleasant, so refreshing and uplifting. I unreservedly recommend this beauty spot in New York City to you. Enjoy your beauty blast!

To say I’m obsessed is an understatement. I went in for a consultation and met with Jamie. She was phenomenal with her recommendations and such a pleasure to work with. I saw Dr. Carlos who is a master at his craft and made me so comfortable during my appointment. I can’t recommend this place enough, I’m a client for life. Thank you Skinney for my incredible glow up!

These stars are for the 60th Street location only. I began my journey as a client last December at the Flatiron location, after buying an expensive (to me!) package for various treatments, including Morpheus8. My first Morpheus treatment was 12/18/2024. Right away, I found the front desk staff to be very cold and unwelcoming. The aesthetician did not do a good job, and there were large patches of untreated areas, including a big chunk on the side of my neck. I sent pictures to their customer service email, and asked if this was normal, because it did not look right to me. To their credit, someone contacted me and set me up for a do-over. And enter Ms. Amyah Arrington, the esthetician angel from Iowa. She redid my entire neck and believe me - she lit it up :) She followed up with me a few days later to see how I was doing. My next couple of appointments at Flatiron were for platysmal (I'm pretty sure I spelled that right) botox. Again, the front staff was cold, and I'd even describe them as rude. I questioned my whole purchase, and was kicking myself for not going somewhere else. I felt not just underwhelmed, but completely uncomfortable. Luckily for me, my next Morpheus appointment was at the 60th Street location, again with Ms. Arrington. Right away, I noticed a different in the clinic's atmosphere overall. It felt fun and welcoming - night and day from Flatiron. I made this observation to the front desk on the way out (as well as a few more details I did not include here), and a client who overheard me confirmed she'd had the same experience. Unbeknownst to me, one of the employees at the desk was Denise Galbreath, the spa director. She apologized for my experience, and offered me a complimentary facial! I felt so appreciated and seen and heard and all of that. Now, 60th Street is my go-to and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to look good and have fun doing it. I'm looking forward to future treatments of... who knows? Amyah is MY girl though - I don't mind you borrowing her, but please give her back.

Got a 30 minute hydrafacial done by Amyah and it was best thing I ever did. She was so kind,sweet and informative. I told her it was my first time and she was so gentle and I learned so much about each step of the facial. I can’t wait to book a one hour hydrafacial with Amyah in the future! She’s the best and happy she was able to treat me because my skin was glowing all day. A picture of all the left over makeup and gunk that was taken out my face (even when I thought my makeup was washed off properly the night before - guess not!) Even though, the location is the farthest from me- I’m always back because of the kind people. Also a huge shout to Patricia who always books my sessions for me and always so patient and kind also!

I have been having Clear and Brilliant treatments for pigmentation with Mina who has been amazing! Very knowledgable and explains each stage thoroughly and makes you feel super comfortable. I can see the treatments are working and looking forward to see the final result!
