JLJ Medical Spa

DO NOT GO HERE. I came for IV therapy. The nurse put the catheter in my arm and then knocked it out trying to connect it to the IV. She didn’t apologize and tried to hide that it was her mistake even though she loudly said “OOPS” after she hit it. She had the doctor come to try to put the IV back in my same arm. The doctor said she could not tell if she put it in my vein or not. She fished around in my arm with the needle. I started to feel sick. She decides that I could use a break so she takes the needle out of my arm and I am bleeding and she says out loud “oh, it was in your vein!” She then just puts a wad of tissue on the wound, tells me to hold it down, then leaves me alone in the closet room without even drawing back the curtain fully so everyone in the waiting room can see me. The nurse comes back and offers me water. Then the doctor comes back and says she’s ready to try in my other arm. I told her absolutely not because I didn’t feel comfortable. She tells me that I should let her try again because they already open the IV bag. She continued to try to pressure me into continuing with the service that I no longer wanted due to their incompetence and lack of accountability and compassion. Against my better judgment, I agreed to let them give me a different service for the price of the Groupon I purchased. The doctor said I could get seven units of Botox. When she came back with the needle, she didn’t say much to me. She just cleaned my forehead told me to raise my eyebrows, and injected me four times. She wiped it once with a tissue, told me I was done, and left the room. The entire scenario just screamed GTFO. I looked at myself in the mirror on my phone since there was none in the room and my forehead was still dripping blood. They provided me with no aftercare instructions. Truly, I wouldn’t suggest this place to my worst enemy.

What an amazing spa, The decor is outstanding and Kim - the PA is a master! I was so pleased with my results and will going back for more of Kim’s recommendations as time goes on. Highly recommend !! The front desk staff were great too- welcoming and l pleasant!

CUSTOMER BE AWARE: This establishment is unprofessional and a fraud. I made an appointment weeks ago. They called me a few hours before to tell me there was a scheduling conflict. Then I rescheduled for today. I walked in and this lovely lady who has no affiliation with JLJ told me this space is being used for COVID testing and that the medispa isn’t opened today. I texted the number which I had for JLJ and indicated I am here but there is no one except this COVID team at the location. The response was: it’s not open for Tuesday. Meanwhile I got several email and text confirmations about the appointment for MANHATTAN (even one right before the appointment). I didn’t get an apology nor a response after I said why would you make an appointment for Manhattan on a Tuesday then. Simply put - Louise is a c—nt AND you have to see what a former employee has to say about this establishment on Yelp! God was looking out for me!

Kim was such a kind professional and took her time with me, I felt as though all my concerns were addressed and she was just so nice thank you so much if your reading this Kim you’re amazing !

The place was clean and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The staff is very sweet. Wendy took care of me and she took the time to explain everything and made all efforts to make sure I was comfortable. Definitely recommend I will be back.
